Loved the balcony, location very comfortable bed
The building is a converted terrace that was trendy when done but well past it used by date. It appears not to have had any routine maintenance done for years. Room furnishings were extremely basic. Carpet stained and worn - looked like the original from the hotel creation about 15 years ago. It has very narrow steep stairs offset by the staff willingness to carry luggage to and from room.
The place was filthy and it was such a shame as all the things that were wrong with the place are down to lack of cleanliness and lack of maitence
Early check in was allowed at no extra cost, they also minded my bag before and after check in/out at no additional cost. Also liked that I got what I expected - it was simple but had everything I wanted and nothing I didn't.
Nothing I can think of.
Though the rooms were small they were nice. the hotel was located perfectly in Darlinghurst.
I feel the concept of the hotel was good, but they lost control around the edges. The hotel was a walk up boutique style hotel. we were on the 3rd floor which is not really the problem, it was really hard to get our baggage to rooms because the stairs were so narrow. The room looked nice, but there was really no room for our bags because of the size of the room. The Balcony was great, but the shared concept was a bit less comfortable because of the proximity of the neighbors night and day. Not to mention that the doors did not seem very secure. A good push and they would open.
Nothing, it was horrible and we left a day early because it was so bad.
My room was over some kind of club/bar and the music was so loud it made the walls and floors vibrate, this carried on until the early hours.
Location and price. Wi-fi worked for internet access, and was included in the price, so it cannot be described as 'free'.
It was dirty, run~down, with poor furnishings and facilities. Though not expensive it was so bad it could not be described as value for money.
Clean and tidy room in great location.
The shower curtains did not even reach down to the floor. Thus after showering there was quite a bit of water all over the floor
“ Great location, very nice and helpful staff, they help us registered mobile SIM card that we don’t know how to register. We like the cleaning and comfortable standard room. We would like to stay here again.”
I had read many bad reviews about this hotel but it was in the perfect location for us. The shower was fantastic (apart from the sticky shower curtain!) Probably the best we had on the whole trip. The room was big enough for two of us and although we were there on a Friday night it was fairly quiet. We are used to roughing it however this was comfortable and fulfilled all our needs. Sheets were also clean which was good!
There is no reception The English Language skills of the staff is extremely poor The place is dirty The noise level from the establishment next door made sleeping a challenge The staff/reception consisted of a person sitting on the entry stairs playing with his laptop computer A window in the room would be nice Don't get me started on the bathroom Never again
The smell, blood on carpet, access cards to get into hotel and room worked when it wanted. Staff pretty unhelpful. Other guests in the hotel were "interesting characters" to say the least. Check out reviews on trip advisor before booking!
Very friendly staff.
They do not provide milk for morning coffee although they provide coffee powder, sugar and water - strange. I was directed to the nearby news agency to get milk for myself.
location eg where i needed to go easy access to city easy access to train and supermarket
shower facilities needed to be upgraded so whole area did not get wet little storage area
It was my short term business trip to Sydney. I did internet search and found this hotel is very close to nightlife and food place. After a night stay, I was very happy. The staff there were so nice and friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable, specially bath room, it was redecorated recently. I don't have anything to complain about, will definitely stay there again.
